Vivekanandha College of Education, established by the Vivekanandha Educational Society in 2005, is committed to preparing skilled, dedicated and value-oriented teachers for the nation. Guided by the visionary leadership of Mr. S. Selvaganapathy, the institution emphasizes discipline, knowledge, service and character building while providing quality teacher education.
Inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, the college focuses on the holistic development of future educators by nurturing leadership, confidence, integrity, compassion and social responsibility. Since its inception, the college has successfully completed 10 batches of the One-Year B.Ed. Programme and 10 batches of the Two-Year B.Ed. Programme, producing competent educators who serve society with commitment and professionalism.
The institution gives equal importance to academic excellence and practical teaching competency. Students are trained in communication skills, creativity, leadership qualities, employability skills and innovative pedagogical practices — supported by digital learning platforms, smart classroom methodologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted teaching.
The college is managed by the Vivekanandha Educational Society, whose educational journey began in 1986 with the establishment of Vivekanandha School. Over the years, the Society has expanded its mission across schools and colleges, committed to quality and value-based education.
